Popcorn chicken is a popular street snack in Taiwan. It consists of bite-sized pieces of marinated chicken, coated with sweet potato starch, and deep fried. After that, they are topped with salt, pepper and sichuan peppercorn powder. Usually but optionally, the chicken is paired with lightly fried basil leaves.
Today, I completely forgot about the basil leaves. Nevertheless, they still tasted great. Yum! Yum!
